There is always some moisture in the atmospheric air that the air compressor sucks in. The amount of this moisture varies depending on the temperature of the air and geographical conditions. The H2O molecules in the compressed air coming out of the compressor are attached to the adsorbent material in the chemical dryer, thus reducing the moisture to very low temperature levels. In this case, the moisture condenses and becomes liquid water and is removed from the system. DBS series chemical dryers reach the dew point of -40˚C (or optional -70˚C) with much less energy consumption compared to standard unheated DDS chemical dryers. The integrated blower system within the dryer chassis takes the discharge air from the environment and prevents some of the compressed air from being wasted as in standard dryers.
